23 Librarians is pleased to welcome a new member to the family – 23 LIS Students will publish profiles and insights from library school students across the UK and Ireland. The site is run by Sarah Hume, a recent LIS student herself, who says: “Students from all walks of life are welcome – full time, part-time, distance, online, onsite – if you’re on a library or information studies course then we want to hear from you. We’re aiming for a twice monthly publication schedule, but we’ll post more if we get more submissions.”

If you would like to volunteer, get in touch with Sarah at libschoolstudents@gmail.com, or you can tweet her @sarahfhume or @23lisstudents. Also, don’t forget that, as well as this blog, there are more profiles on our sister blogs 23 Librarians England, now renamed Information & Knowledge Practitioners (England), 23 Librarians Ireland/NI and 23 Llyfrgellydd. Check out all three for a snapshot of what it’s like to work in the huge variety of library and information fields and for tips from seasoned librarians.

Good luck to Sarah with this great new project!
